5 Tips to Host an End of Summer BBQ

Throw the Perfect End of Summer BBQ

Summer activities are wrapping up and the kids have started school, this weekend would be a great time for a personalized End of Summer BBQ. Let's leave Summer 2019 in a bang! There are so many themes and so many types of food you can have but today I want to blog about those cute details that will have everyone talking.

1. Create a Signature Drink

This can be anything from your favorite soda mixes or your favorite mixed alcoholic drink. This always adds such a special touch to any party. If you already have your go-to mixed drink, go with that. If not, start experimenting. Maybe try something like a Cherry Sundae (Sprit Cherry and Sprite Vanilla).

Tip: Don't forget to have drink labels so that guests don't forget to reuse their cups.

2. Create a Condiment Display

Showcase that you have sophisticated taste buds by giving your guests more than just ketchup and mustard in a nice display. Give guests multiple options by placing them in small containers like Kara did in her post.

3. Create the right atmosphere using lights

Dig into your storage and find your old Christmas lights and start placing them around your yard to give a stary night atmosphere in your home. It will give your guest fuzzy feelings

4. Create a Fire

When the sun falls, continue the party around the fire pit. Roast some s’mores or tell scary stories, either way, your guest will stay warm and relaxed.

5. Create some Homemade Mosquito repellant

Make sure your guest are not only having fun but that they don't feel annoyed by all the pesky little bugs especially since Utah has had its official West Nile virus findings this year. Try this DIY repellent that not only works but will make a beautiful centerpiece.
